Nina Bruhns’ award-winning romantic suspense novels are steamy and emotional, with a sense of humor and always a dash of adventure thrown in to keep things lively. Nina is a two-time RITA Award nominee, as well as being the recipient of the National Readers Choice Award; she received the Daphne du Maurier Award for Best Romantic Suspense novel this year as well as for two previous years, two Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Awards, as well as five Dorothy Parker Awards, to name just a few. Nina writes for Silhouette Romantic Suspense as well as Silhouette Nocturne, and next year will see her her debut in the larger arena of single title with Berkley Publishing (an imprint of Penguin/Putnam), with RUN TO DANGER. Harlequin Historical author Carolyn Davidson writes old-fashioned novels about men and women with strong values and a sense of commitment to their relationships. Carolyn wrote her first published work at the age of ten, when her sixth grade teacher sent in a short story to The Detroit News. Since 1995 she has seen over twenty books published, mainly set in the old American West of the last century. Her newest releases are western historicals from HQN.

After many years in marketing, advertising, and public relations, Blythe stopped sublimating and returned to her first love, writing historical romance. Award winning medical suspense author CJ Lyons is a physician trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She has assisted police and prosecutors with cases involving child abuse, rape, homicide and Munchausen by Proxy and has worked in several trauma centers, on the Navajo reservation, as a crisis counselor, victim’s advocate, as well as a flight physician for Life Flight. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, Romance Writers of America, and Sisters in Crime. Dorothy McFalls was raised in the south, but since her parents and their parents are from the north she doesn’t dare call herself a true Southerner. But she does have pluff mud between her toes and likes it that way. Dorothy resides in an artsy beach community in South Carolina with her sexy sculptor husband. She doesn’t surf but can cut through the waves on a boogie board. She shares her home with a cat-like dog (Abu) and a dog-like cat (Yoshi) and new puppy (Iona). An environmental urban planner by profession and a wildlife biologist by education, she gave up her day job to write sensual romances full-time in 2001. Her latest work, LADY IONA’S REBELLION, was released by Cerridwen Press in June 2007.

A freelance writer for newspapers and magazines since 1994, Nicole’s articles have been in The Island Packet, The Bluffton Packet and South Carolina Magazine. Nicole began writing fiction when she was 30-years-old and expecting her first child. An artist at heart, she enjoys painting pictures with words and bringing her characters to life through detail and dialect. Nicole’s work is deeply influenced by the mystique and charm of the Lowcountry including her debut novel, THE SPIRIT OF SWEETGRASS, released in February 2007 from Integrity Publishers. Vicki Sweatman

Vicki Wilkerson Sweatman is a Lowcountry native. Since childhood, she has set her stories and poems in this unique area of South Carolina. She writes Southern inspirational romance and Southern women’s fiction. In addition, she reviews books for the Post & Courier. A sampling of her poems and fiction is included in The Summerville Writers Guild’s A GATHERING OF FLOWERS. Her debut novel, BIKER SUNDAY, will be available in the near future.
