Worshop abstract: Paralleling the parent/child model, Kieran takes a humorous yet realistic look at what it means to be the author of your special creation–your book! Your book is your baby, so naturally, you want to ensure you’re giving it the kind of attention it deserves. Writers also have important needs, which the successful ones don’t neglect! In the same way Dr. Spock advised parents about the joys and pitfalls of child-rearing, Kieran prepares new writers for potential stumbling blocks and surprising pleasures on the road to publication, and teaches you to get in touch with the heart of your creative genius much faster than you ever believed you could.
