The keys to these special and productive weeks are quiet and casual. During the 3 Hermit Weeks we will be strictly enforcing a peaceful worktime atmosphere during the days, but in the evenings we will gather for a collective mealtime and socializing. Naturally, if you prefer to continue to work, no one will bother you. Seriously. This is YOUR special time. Write. Plan. Sleep. Walk the beach. Rejuvenate. No one will tell you what to do. Sound like paradise? You bet.

The number of Hermit Week attendees will be very limited, so get your reservation in early! Last year Week 1 filled up on the first day.

The mansion is within a few blocks of a grocery store, several great restaurants, and a quaint island shopping area. Historic downtown Charleston is a short 15 minute drive. Charleston International Airport is just 25 minutes away.
